The video below concerns a medical scandal that occurred 40 years ago in Great Britain, but the final analysis of what went wrong has only now just been released. The prime minister of Britain Rishi Sunak has this to say:
“A day of shame for the British state.”
“Today’s report shows a decades-long moral failure at the heart of our national life – from the National Health Service to the Civil Service, to ministers in successive governments, at every level the people and institutions in which we place our trust failed in the most harrowing and devastating way.
“They failed the victims and their families and they failed this country.”
“Moral failure at the heart of our national life” in which doctors, civil servants and ministers had put reputations above patient safety.
“On behalf of this and every government stretching back to the 1970s, I am truly sorry.”

Well it took 40 years for the UK to become honest with itself. Odd that this report should come out during a scandal thousands of times bigger, and global. Does the scale in the current case indicate the truth will be allowed to surface sooner, later, or not at all?
Is Prime Minister Sunak tacitly drawing a parallel for taking part in Great Britain's current great cover up, and tacitly apologizing to his constituents? Under the circumstances a complete coincidence seems unlikely. Meanwhile politicians say what they are obliged to say, and we shouldn't be too surprised.
Nor should we continue to be surprised that the 3rd leading cause of death in the US is medical accidents. Or that for a few years running is probably the 1st leading cause.
The scale of deaths and suffering is truly off the chart.
