Is salt healthy?

Somehow, things have gone topsy turvy in the health world.

Radiation sickness, also known as radiation poisoning, a known causative agent for producing cancers, is now being used in the vain attempt to create health in people who have cancer.

Salt, a known poison that will kill a human (from dehydration) with the ingestion of a mere 30 grams, is now being sold as health food, and no less, to hydrate you.

Salt is not food, and is certainly not a bringer of health.

People say that salt will help you hydrate.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Salt actually holds water outside of the cell, thus preventing the cell from receiving that same water.

We know that if you drink salt water from the sea, you will die of dehydration.

Eating salt may be stimulating to the taste buds, but overall it is a health destroyer.

For more than 60 years doctors have been pointing out that fats, and especially oils, are associated with increased risk of heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.

Today, people are recommending the consumption of fat as the cure for multiple health problems, including gall stones, detoxification, weight loss, and to help with diabetes and heart disease.

When dietary fat exceeds 20% (as a function of total calories consumed) predictable health decline ensues.

Don't be fooled by the hype.

Trust fruits and vegetables as our species specific ideal foods, as demonstrated by our closest relatives, all other anthropoid primates.

Nature always tells the truth.
